The Serving Ministries

Willing Workers

The Willing Workers is a ministry of caring. They visit the sick in private homes, hospitals and nursing centers bringing the Word of God and comfort. Currently the Willing Workers are spearheading weekly fundraising efforts for the building of our new church edifice.

Ushers welcome parishioners, newcomers and visitors alike to the Church. They are a source of information and assistance. They also help maintain the decorum of the service. At the beginning of the service, they welcome everyone, providing a hand, the bulletin for the service and directions to available seats.

Nurses’ Unit

The Nurses Unit ministers to worshippers who become ill. Additionally, the nurses provide information and learning opportunities about current health issues.

Pulpit Aide

The purpose of the Pulpit Aide Committee is to provide ongoing support of the pastor’s ministry. The committee provides spiritual and prayerful support as  well as financial support for the pastor’s  exceptional needs as the pastor  (or pastors) goes forward in various endeavors involved with spreading the Gospel.

Floral Guild

Members of the Flower Guild enhance the beauty of the Church and enrich our worship with flowers for the Sunday services, festivals, weddings, funerals and other activities throughout the year.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:9-10

Hospitality Ministry

The Hospitality Ministry serves as a “First Line” Ministry.  When new visitors or prospects come to Salem they are immediately greeted and welcomed to our congregation by this ministry.
